Hello, I’m Venkat and I am currently pursuing Masters degree in Information Systems.

I firmly believe in technology being the great enabler and not just a set of tools. Using technology to enable and empower people has been my passion since childhood and have been chasing that dream continuously.

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Information Systems at Kelley School of Business. I am focused on gaining invaluable insights into what makes a business successful and experience in designing IT strategies to accomplish this goal. I believe this would complement my strong technical skills to make me a complete and well-rounded professional.

Before joining my Master's program, I worked at Microsoft as a Technical Advisor, helping enterprises across the globe implement a robust and agile Application Lifecycle Management/DevOps framework. Understanding problems and providing the most appropriate resolutions were an intrinsic part of my core commitments. My communication and client handling skills won me various accolades. I enjoyed tackling challenges during my role at Microsoft like shouldering the responsibility of being the face of Microsoft to its customers, working against stringent deadlines and transforming myself into a trusted advisor.

Myself along with two of my team mates, developed a client-server architecture to monitor real time data monitoring from MIL 1553 bus that is omnipresent on board all avionics systems. This application sent flight data acquired every 20 ms to all the monitoring terminals, with health parameters and other vital signals of the projectile, in form of tables and dynamically scaling graphs to fit different window sizes.

The approach my team suggested was selected and we presented the first run results at FIRE’11 – IIT B (data retrieval conference sponsored by IBM, Microsoft Research and Google).
